Women on Mission

Jesus told his followers to bring other people into God's family. Churches and Christians do missions when they obey Jesus and go beyond themselves to tell others about him.

Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) is an organization which works in cooperation with the Lynchburg Baptist Association to through study, prayer, giving, personal ministry, and witnessing.

WOM groups participate in Klothes 4 Kids, Teddy Bear Hospital ministry, visit shut-ins, Operation Christmas Child, and detention center ministry. They study mission work in the USA and foreign countries. Further more, these mission groups contribute monetarily and physically to local, national, and international mission projects for those in need.

The WMU consist of WOM (Women on Mission), Acteens -6th-12th grade, Kids in Action 1st-5th grade, and Mission Friends -4 & 5 yr olds.
